Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington
disposal of tree limbs on neighbors property
My tree overhangs a neighbors yard. Occasionaly a few limbs fall on his side. He always makes a point of throwing them back on my side as hard and far as he can coming very close to my satellite dish. I could care less about him trimming the limbs on his side, but can he throw them back at me like that?

Re: disposal of tree limbs on neighbors property
The tree brances/limbs are yours, as they belong to your tree. If he were to damage your property (satellite dish) that's a different problem, but as to the tree:
Might be a kind neighborly thing to do to contact an arborist or Plant Amnesty and have them come out and review your trees, make sure they are healthy and not encroaching on your neighbors unduly.
Getting in disputes with neighbors is possibly the least pleasant litigation environment, because you cannot escape it, it is where you live.
I would recommend that you maintain your trees so they are not dropping limbs on your neighbor's property. If one inadvertently drops on his property, promptly make arrangements to go get it off your neighbor's property and that will avoid him hurling them back to your property.
Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
