can i force a partner to sell realestate (home) we own together?

It depends. There is a cause of action called "partition" where you can force a sale to get your share of the value of real property.

Court allows this because no judge is going to take a chain saw to your property to divide it.

But I'd need to know whether your partnership is incorporated or implied, or set up as an LLC, or if it's more a domestic relationship that could be construed as meretricious (marital-like). There are different principles that kick in depending on the nature of your partnership and the partnership (and your) investment in the real property.
