Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington

When a homeowner dies are the heirs required to transfer the property? They have been living in the house for almost 2 years and the property is still in the name of the deceased. There is a will but they have not probated it.

In some situations the law is very loose as to when a person is required to offer a will for probate. It is possible for you to kick-start the process if you have a legal interest in the estate.
