Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington

Possible Legal Repercussions of being Medium in Transaction

I have a question about the resale of a vehicle and the money involved. I have a vehicle to sell for $1,700. A party, who is overseas, would like to purchase it. This party has someone in the U.S. who owes them $4,000. The first party would like the party who owes them money to send me the entire sum of $4,000 and then have me forward the remaining balance of $2,300 to the first party. This would be done with a cashiers check and then I would send the remaining balance via Western Union. Would there be any possible legal problems for me by doing this?

Thank you,

This could be a money laundering scheme or something like that. Just have tyour buyer's debtore pay you what you are owed for the car and have the debtor send the balance owed tto the buyer. You should stay out of such transactiobns wherein you become some sort of "middleman".
