Paying a friend

My uncle gave power to attorney to a friend. All his family is in another state. He died and My Aunt is in a nursing home. The friend wants the family to pay him for taking care of business. My uncle left them in the will as many family members. Should he be paid?

The executor of your uncle's will should make that decision after a proper creditor's claim has been been presented to the estate for payment.
