Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington
Property view
Because our neighbors below us were angry that the previous owner of our property wouldn't sell them part of this property, which has a spectacular, they have planted a row of evergreen trees along our property lines. The trees have grown so much that they are blocking our view of the valley, and it is just a matter of several years that we will no longer see Mt. Rainier, which is the selling point and biggest asset of our property. We bought our property and house because of the beautiful view, and now it's nearly gone. This will cause the property value of our house to go down. I am wondering if it's worth my time and money to talk to a lawyer to see if we might have a case. Thank you.

Re: Property view
You should contact Jay Rockey in Bellevue. This is what he does best.
View easements are not implied in WA and I would have to look at any covenants or agreements with your neighbors in order to figure out a way you might be able to get your view back without timber trespass damages (treble plus attorney fees, so don't chop those trees down!)
You can find contact information for any attorney in the state at www wsba dot org, or at avvo dot com. That's a v v o, not awo.
Hope that helps.
