I am going Pro Se against the builder of my house and I would like some help structuring my questions so the opposing counsel will be less likely to form a legitimate objection. Any ideas for phrases to avoid or things to include will be helpful. The issue is related to drainage and the lack of code compliance. The builder failed to install a footing perimeter drain as required by the 1997 Uniform Plumbing Code which was in effect when the house was built.

Things to avoid: representing yourself, or asking for any slack because you are representing yourself. Wigmore on Evidence is good. You'll want to brush up on Washington civil procedure while you are at it.
Things to include: An attorney.
There is a time and a place to be your own lawyer, but you are not describing one of them.
