Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington
Signing a house over to another person
My parents are the executives over my aunts will. She passed away last month. We have been taking care of her house, and now my parents need to get rid of it. She still owes a lot of money on the house and my parents cant afford to keep making th payments. Can they legally just sign the house over to us, and we will assume the loan?

I don't have enough information. Who are your deceased aunt's heirs under the will? Your parents? Anyone else? Is the money owed on the house a mortgage? To whom is it owed? You? Why are you owed money by your aunt? From a debt arising before or after her death? I just don't have enough facts to answer your question, even preliminarily. You will need to contact a lawyer.
