can a spouse get spousal maintence when the other person is on social security disibility?

Hello.

The simple answer to your question is affirmative.

The Disability "income" (assuming not SSI) is "income" just like wages for purposes of spousal support. In California the relative incomes of each spouse and or their earnings ability if not then working, are both considered and placed in to a computer program called Dissomaster. The program calculates any spousal support due from one to the other.

It is all math generated!
