Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

automotive insurance

i recently rcv'd a request for payment from National Claims Associates. back in december i was in a collision yet, i had no insurance. (i am currently making payments on this ticket) however, the NCA that they will be ''pursuing legal efforts and possible drivers license & vehicle tag suspension in all states per the Interstate Compact Act, as well as possible suit being filed & credit reporting''. what does this mean? (i've looked at the act... but it is unclear to me) also, i now have insurance, if that even matters. please help! Thank you!!!!

Without reading the letter you are referring to, of course, it's impossible to give you accurate feedback. Given the serious tone of the letter however, I'd urge you to at least get an office consultation with a personal injury lawyer.

From what you said, it sounds as if this company that wrote you insured the OTHER driver in the collision you were in, or from the owner of property you may have damaged, that they think the accident was your fault, and that they are attempting to collect from you whatever they spent for their insured. They should have detailed in the letter to you precisely what they spent for which they seek your reimbursement, if indeed that's what they're doing.

Again, take the letter to a lawyer promptly to properly protect yourself.
