Failure to yield in a crosswalk entrapment
I just got a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk on a 4 lane road. The pedestrain rushed out from the center median just as I was coming to the crosswalk in the curb lane. There was no way I could stop without blocking the crosswalk, so I kept going. I was ticketed shortly thereafter. I contested the violation in court, and much to my surprise, it turned out that the ''pedestrian'' was another police officer! They had set up a crosswalk sting operation.
I feel that I was entrapped. Any possible recourse on this?

Re: Failure to yield in a crosswalk entrapment
It depends upon yuour facts. How fast were you driving? What is the speed limit? Did the "pedestrian" run or walk across the road? If you had stopped, would a rear end collision taken place? You need to contest this ticket. I'm at your service.
