Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

hit and run

i was struck in a cross walk by a mini truck while crosing with the light as a pedestrian,truck in question was being driven in the rain with no windshield wipers ,and no insurance, and the truck left the scene ,hit and run.

was not injured badly enough to need ambulance to the hospital was struck acros the face of left knee,went up to the hospital 2 days after because lower back was bothring me and they are t5elling me i am the one responcable for all hospital bills, this makes absolutly no sense to me. and i dont know what to do anymore. nore am i shure who to contact to proceed with a case agianst the diver that hit me.the police did arrest the driver

As fo ryour medical bills, contact the Dept. of Labor & Indistries, Crime Victim's Compensation Act division. You should apply for benefits there. As for the driver, all you can do is sue him for you rbills and pain and suffering but as there is no insurance, you will have to pay the attorney's fees to bring the suit. Unless that driver has money or other assets that you can go after, there isn't much you will be able to do. Good Luck!
