Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington
Liability of your car
Recently got involved in an accident with a tire that came off of a vehicle from oncoming traffic on the freeway. Both he and I were doing the 70 mph speed limit. His insurance company is claiming that they are not liable due to it is parts coming off a vehicle (as opposed to pieces from an unsafe load) Is this true or is the insurance company being a bully?

Re: Liability of your car
Since you're referring to an analagy used against you about pieces coming off of an unsafe load, I'm guessing that this tire came off of a commercial vehicle or a semi. If so, they have some responsibility for the repair and maintenance of that vehicle. If not, then under most facts, I should think SOMEONE did. Go see a lawyer.
Good luck.

Oh, and PS: There are always TIME LIMITS on your ability to make a claim, so be sure to follow up with an attorney soon. Hope nobody was hurt.
Best wishes,
