CONTEST YOUR TRAFFIC TICKET
Just because you received a traffic ticket, does not necessarily mean it has to end up on your driving record. If you contest your traffic ticket the prosecutor must prove that you committed the infraction in accordance with Washington State traffic laws. However, simply paying the ticket means it automatically gets reported to the Department of Licensing and will be on your driving record for years. If you are concerned about your driving record and protecting your automobile insurance rates, then you should think over your decision to just pay the ticket carefully.
