Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington
Process serving
I am in WA state, and I got served papers for a car accident from 3 years ago... however, the information on the papers is incorrect and states that the date of accident was in 2008 when really it was in 2005. Is the serving still legit?

Re: Process serving
Whether the serve is legit or not, don't waste time thinking about it. You have a limited time period within which to respond to the lawsuit, and if you fail to respond properly and in a timely fashion, the plaintiff may be able to take a default judgment against you. You should have a lawyer respond to the lawsuit on your behalf.
If you were insured at the time of the accident, or if the vehicle you were operating had insurance, notify any potentially responsible insurance companies at once, and get them a copy of the papers you were served with. They will typically hire a lawyer to defend you.
Finally, if the date of the accident is incorrect on the Complaint, it can usually be corrected later anyway, but you should instead rely on an opinion from a lawyer who is actually looking at the document.
Good luck!
