Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

rearended/ they want my whole medical history, even counseling.etc.

help,i was rear ended,had 2 of my children with me, older dtr,is sore but ok.son is ok. im sore, and still sore.got a medical release for pip coverage, and they want everything on my medical history. including sex diseases,counseling, drug abuse for me and my kids. I dont have a problem with giving them info from the accident, but i dont think they need my whole life history.they have admitd fault, what and where can i find what my rights are? i have lost a weeks work, and probly more. my car gets fixed this coming week, i need to know my rights.. im scared, i can handle this but i am not solid on my rights.help please. what am i entitled to? i have been to emergency, xrays ok i see doc for follow up tuesday. can anyone help me with my rights? my email [email protected] thank you leslie

When you make a claim for personal injuries, your entire medical files can be sought. However, this does not mean that the information is relevant. If you feel that there are some records that should not be disclosed, I recommend you contact an attorney and work out some sort of protection order with the at-fault parties's insurer to ensure that these records are not disclosed to anyone except your attorney, you, and the insurance company.
