Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington
Speeding Ticket
I recieved a speeding ticket over 2 months ago. I responded 10 days later no contest and mailed a check along with the ticket. I have not heard anything back from the city, nor has the check cleared my bank account. I am worried that they never recieved my response. How can I make sure I do not get in trouble for this? Do I just wait until they do something and then explain?

Re: Speeding Ticket
Call the clerk's office at the court where the ticket was filed and explain. Mistakes happen. Every court deals with this sort of situation. Be prepared to prove that you sent the green copy of your ticket. You may have to write a letter to the judge, but they usually will give you a court date.
