Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington
stolen vehicle
I know two people that went to prison for the same offence. They were both sentenced at different times for both getting accused of stealing the same vehicle. Both did the time for that. Is that right

Re: stolen vehicle
First, you should re-post your question here on LawGuru.com under "Criminal Law," as your question doesn't appear to pertain to a traffic matter. When you do, you will probably be asked about the relationship between the two convicted individuals, and the factual details of the incident over which each was convicted. But yes, depending on the facts, it's perfectly plausible that two people could be convicted of stealing the same vehicle.
At the same time, I'd caution you against re-posting with much greater detail, to preserve the privacy and rights of the people convicted. If the answer is important, or one or both of the people involved are important to you, I'd suggest talking to a lawyer in person, or better yet, go talk to one of the convicted persons' lawyers.
Good luck to you,
