Legal Question in Veterans Law in Washington
ptsd claim
I had a question on my pending claim for ptsd. I filed a claim in 2005 for disability due to an I.E.D attack while i was in iraq. I was granted 20% I just recently re opened my claim because I have ptsd, I was awarded a purple heart, and submitted everything i was told to. How long should it take? and what are my chances of being approved?

Re: ptsd claim
If you just sumbitted it, it could take months. How many months pretty much depends on which regional office it is and how fast (or slow) they are processing new claims. If you have a Purple Heart and a documented current diagnosis of PTSD, service connection should be a slam dunk. But that's just my guess, no guarantee. Feel free to email me with any more questions.
