Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Can a beneficiary quit claim out of a trust?

My husband and his ex wife divorced last year. As part of the settlement, she got the house, but in the trust the house is supposed to stay in the lives of his sons and grandchildren. there are now two grandchildren.

Can he give her the house that belongs to the trust? She also made him quit claim his interest in the trust to her under false pretenses, is this allowed. to be able to take yourself out of a trust so to speak?

she is now trying to have the trust dissolved and cutting out the grandchildren. how can we stop her?

Re: Can a beneficiary quit claim out of a trust?

This is very complicated and depends upon what the exact language of the trust is, what type of trust it is and the language of th edecree in the divorce. All of these documents woul dhave to be reviewed to see what the provisions are and how they interrelate and what the court did about the trust and its properties. See a lawyer ASAP on this.
