Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington
community property
We're in a community property state. My name is not on the deed to the house we live in, but he has a will which leaves me the property until I die, then reverts to his children. Can the children contest the will and leave me homeless in the event my husband predeceases me?

Re: community property
The children could contest the will, but without knowing more, I could not address the probability of success in such an action, except to say that the presumption is that a will is valid.
