Death of Mother

I have 2 brother and my self and need to know what to do about the house that was my mothers sole and seperate estate after she has passed almost 3 years ago. My step father lives in the house and I have been making the payments. With the economy the morgage company has changed and now I am afraid we may loose the house. what can I do???
