Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Dying without a will in WA

If a spouse dies and there is no will, and WA is a community property state, does everything automatically go to the other spouse, or would the two surving children also inherit?

Just looking for the law on this question.

Re: Dying without a will in WA

This is clearly laid out in RCW 11.04.015 at http://search.leg.wa.gov/wslrcw/RCW%20%2011%20%20TITLE/RCW%20%2011%20.%2004%20%20CHAPTER/RCW%20%2011%20.%2004%20.015.htm.

To surviving spouse:

All community property

1/2 separate property

To surviving children

1/2 separate property (thus 1/4 each)
