father needs to know his rights to his late wifes estate
im a friend of a man who just lost his wife.he has two children ages 8 and 12.his wife was disabled and had a trust, the house they live in is part of that trust the whole trust minus some annuities goes to the kids including the house is going to the kids trust.now the are making my friend buy the house at market value or they are going to sell the house and put the money back in the trust.how can this be for a young husdand who took care of his wife until she died be left with nothing with two children to raise.

Your question was not clear on several points. Who is the trustee of the trust? Who are all of the beneficiaries of the trust? What is the purpose of the trust? Who is making your friend buy the house or threatening to sell it? Were the assets that the deceased wife left to the trust all hers before the marriage? Are the parents of the 2 children your friend and the deceased wife? Without more information, the possibilities cannot be explored.
