Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington
home in trust
We are settling my mothers million + estate, it is to be split equally between 3 siblings, and one minor grandchild. She also put her home in trust for her 84 year old husband. I am also the trustee for the minor child. Can I have her estate be that house? (And the balance to be 'split' at a later date with the other siblings?) She is currently living with her grandfather in that home, also my mothers wishes, I hear that there is a formula that must be accounted for when property is held in trust. The home is valued at 365,000. Any suggestions??

Re: home in trust
The directions in her Will and Trust documents is controlling. I don't know what they say, so I can't say what you should or could do. You can do anything with the assets that the Will and Trust authorize.
