Can an illegitimate adult child/

grandchild be disinherited?

The law does not recognize the term illigitimate any more.

An heir can be disinherited, so long as they are specifically mentioned and their disinheritance is intentional. In WA, it would be impossible as a matter of law to disinherit a spouse.

Hope that helps, but know that you are not going to make a good impression on the bench using the word illigitimate.
