Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

missing new will

My father told the family he had make a new will including his grandchildren and leaving his estate divided between his current wife, children and grandchildren. After his death his wife produced a will that is thirteen years old leaving a small amount of money to one child and the remainder of his estate to her. There is no mention of his business. We cannot find the attorney who made the new will or the will itself. Both witnesses on the old will are friends of his widow. It is not notarized. What recourse does his family have? His widow is not speaking to the children and has already transferred his real property into her name. My father was very specific in demanding promises from family regarding education of grandchildren, etc. and we cannot accept the fact this old will was his final testament.
