Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington
probate/wills/statue of limitations
Hi my parents died 5 years ago and they had a will . They had property worth about $300,000.00. They also had cash around $50,000.00. My sister was named the executioner in the will, she hasn't done anything about it[filed nothing] and she's been renting out my parents house this whole time. I heard that I've waited to long to do anything about it so I s.o.l. so to speak. My name is on one of the pieces of property along with hers. I just need to know if there's anything I can still do about the will or did I wait to long? Thank you for reading this.

Re: probate/wills/statue of limitations
If you have in possession of the Will or can gain access to it, you can file for probate of the Will or if you don't have the access to the Will you can file an intestate probate and force her to file the Will. You should seriously consider consulting with an attorney over the specifics of this situation. I've personally handled probate of estates in which the decease was dead for over 10 years.
