Question about mother estate

My mother Died in 1995, I was fourteen at the time. A few years after she died, my step dad sold her house that she bought prior to the marriage with him. He gave my sister, brother and I $9,000 each. We know she had more money than this. Are we entitled to it? Also things that she bought prior to the marriage of my step dad, are we entitled too. ( such as burial plots) ?

Re: Question about mother estate

You became an adult in 1999. Why were you not raising this issue then?

You need to pull together the documentation you have about this matter including any probate file, and go have a consult with a local estate/probate attorney promptly.

You may be too late.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
