Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Release/waiver of executorship

Recently it came to my attention that my deceased father has a small amt of money sitting in a bank acct in Washington. My brother would like to take over the manner of getting the money, however I am the executrix of my father's will. I would like my brother to handle this. Is there some kind of a ''waiver of duty'' form that I can sign that will allow him to proceed with this?

Re: Release/waiver of executorship

You can delegate your responsibilities to someone else, but there is no form for this.

There are lots of local attorneys who can assist you with this. Elizabeth Powell
