Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington
Request copy of Will
My sister died a year ago. Her three children have yet to see her will. My sisters husband will not give them a copy. How do I get a copy of my sisters will?
Thanks John

Re: Request copy of Will
Under Washington law if your sister had a will the custodian of the will is required to file it with the county clerk's office (Superior Court) within 30-40 days of the date of death or time that they first realized they possessed the will. The children could demand that this be done as intestate contingent beneficiaries of the decedent's estate.
