Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington
Revocable trust and ex-wives
I am a widow, and bought a house with the man I'm living. We are joint owners. He recently established a revocable living trust, name his ex-wife as alternate trustee. I am very uncomfortable about this! What are the implications for me?

Re: Revocable trust and ex-wives
I as many attorneys would not want to comment on the implications of a trust without seeing the document. There are key facts which you have not disclosed, e.g. who is the beneficiary of the trust. The trustee is the legal owner of the property in a trust but holds it to the benefit of the beneficiary. The beneficiary of the trust is the person who receives the benefits of the trust.
