Must I sell my residence?

If my husband willed half of our assests to a child do I have to sell my residence, or take out a loan, to satisfy his request.

Re: Must I sell my residence?

If you and your husband also a community property agreement, everything would probably go to you.

But you need to get an attorney to protect your interests in this matter. You will probably not have to sell the residence, but that might depend on the size of the estate. I would have to know more details and probably do some research to give an accurate answer.
