I would like to know if one has a will made up while married and has since divorced, does that will still stand in case of death??

Depends on the wording of the Will. You should have an attorney look at it. But there is a presumption that the former spouse is no longer a beneficiary if they are named as such as a spouse and not just by name. However, life insurance is different. If you named your ex-spouse by name and have since divorced it is assumed that you meant to take off the former spouse. HOWEVER, this presumption only lasts for a year after which it is assumed that you meant to keep the former spouse as a beneficiary. If both spouses are alive CHANGE YOUR WILLS.
