How many witnesses are required on a Last Will and Testament in Washington State.

Only 2 witness signatures are required. If a will is not properly executed (signed and witnessed), it probably will not be accepted as valid by the court, in which case the laws of intestate succession (where there is no will) apply to distribute the property of the deceased. Two. But to save time on the other end (probate) it is best to have two witnesses AND a notary public that witnesses the signature of the witnesses -- seriously. Wow, that's a mouthful. The witnesses (including the notary) should not be someone that would take under the will (a beneficiary).
