Under the latest bankruptcy reform called BAPCPA, all income in a household (with minor exceptions) is included in the Means Test. The Means Test uses your last 6 months of income to determine if you are eligible for a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13. The test is done looking back and not to future household income. A present bankruptcy does not affect a future marriage.
