Legal Question in Bankruptcy in West Virginia
Credit Cards in my deceased husband's name
I am thinking about bankruptcy. I have many credit cards in my husband's name. Some I am an authorized user on. Others I have used, but am not listed as a user by the credit card issuer. If I file bankruptcy, may I include those card debts that are only in my deceased husband's name?

Debts for which you may be liable

If you suspect, believe or even doubt you may be held liable on a debt, include it on your petition. Even if you really are convinced you do not owe a debt, but someone else (the creditor) believes or may attempt for any reason to hold you liable, include the debt on any bankruptcy you may file.
