Can we get this person for slander?
A ministry that I am part of online has been having documented problems with a person online for the past 6-8 months.
The person has called each of the counselors in this ministry a child murderer, and has gone as far as to take the online names and add child_murderer to them.
I personally feel that it is defimation of character of those involved as well of the ministry.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

This could certainly be libel, i.e. written defamation (slander means spoken defamation).
I would recommend calling the bar association in your city and seeing if they have a lawyer referral service. If so, they could set up a meeting with a lawyer who handles defamation to help you out. The initial consultations through lawyer referral services are usually inexpensive.
