Legal Question in Consumer Law in West Virginia
Theft at a self storage facility
I rented a storage unit on 2-22-2009, when I rented the unit the security gate was not working and they assured me it was going to be fixed within the next few days. I went back on 3-1-2009 to put some items in my unit and the lock had been cut and items stolen, valuing 300 dollars. The gate has never been fixed. When I rented they said they had no resp. for the items, can i challenge this because of the broken gate?

You may have signed a waiver of liability; this needs to be reviewed.
