Legal Question in Criminal Law in West Virginia
Parole Stipulations
I am trying to help my friend that will be released from prison. He will have nothing if he is paroled next month. Instead of him going to a shelter I was going to provide him with a room. He has a home, but no money to get the utilities turned on. He says its a misdemeanor to live with a woman once he's paroled. Can you explain and/or give me the statute number?

Re: Parole Stipulations
No statute prohibits a parolee from living with a woman.
Certain parolees may have conditions attached to their parole either prohibiting them from living with minor children or with contacting the victims of their crime. However, merely living in the same residence as a woman is perfectly legal, even if the parolee and the woman are involved romantically.
