divorce in virginia vs west virginia
i am in the military and my wife and i have verbally agreed to have been seperated in JUL. She moved to West virginia with our 3 yr old son. we want to get a divorce but i want to know which state would i benifet getting a divorce in; West Virginia or Virginia. financially speaking i have heard that Virginia is the worst towards military dads.

Assuming that your a resident of Virginia, and that you and your wife are able to come to an agreeement that settles all major issues in your marriage which can then be incorporated into your divorce decree as a property settlement agreement, there should be little or no difference in how you as the "military dad" in the matter are treated with respect to the two jurisdictions, financially, or otherwise.
