Legal Question in Family Law in West Virginia

Joint Custody and other parent has had a stroke

My ex and I have 50/50 custody of our two small children. He recently had a stroke and has lost function on the left side of his body. What do I need to do now? It is very unlikely that he will recover from this and I need to know how to proceed concerning custody, child support, and visitation. He is not going to be able to take care of himself, much less two small children.

Re: Joint Custody and other parent has had a stroke

Your ex needs your support and confidence (for your kids sake) see if he will agree to someone being there when he is with the kids just to help. If both of you can not agree then you can file a modification.
