Legal Question in Family Law in West Virginia

Phone calls

My husbands exwife is only suppose to call our house once aday to talk to their son. It is in the court order that is all she is suppose to call, but ends up call way more than that. We don't know what to do about it. It is really starting to get old with all the phone calls. She call and calls the house, but then when it is her one week a month with him she either wont get him at all or just gets him a few days at a time, but only for a couple hours at a time. What can we do about this?

Re: Phone calls

Suggest that you permit your step son to talk to his mother on the phone as much as HE wants to, without any interference or comment from you or anyone else.

Also, suggest that you permit your stepson to have whatever visitation with his mother he wants, without any interference or comment from you or anyone else.

But, you need not reschedule your time or activities to accomodate unplanned changes occasioned by the lack of consideration of your sttep's parent. Consider that the objective might actually be to rile you up.

Additionally, you should remember that Your inconvenience and annoyance is nothing compared to the sense of loss a child experiences when a parent is lost to them in their daily life. It does not matter to them, that their parent may be the most trivaling person on the planet.

Be gracious. Make your peace with what you cannot control.

Good luck,
