Family Illness Day question
Does a school system have the right to count ''Family Illness Days'' as ''Unauthorized Days''? Now we are allowed three. Next year, we will not be allowed any. After 5 days of unauthorized days(without an excuse from doctor), we go on a plan of improvement.

That's something to take up with the school board. Get the rule, take it to a lawyer and then figure out why the policy was put into place, what are the penalties for the child, and then figure out whether it's worth contesting in advance.
Children are supposed to be in school, not home just because someone else is sick. If your family has a particular issue, your best best is to retain counsel. Find out which attorneys in your local area tend to sue the school board (chances are they're specialists) and ask them.
