Legal Question in Civil Litigation in West Virginia
Is it possible to sue for "miseducation"?
I attend a two year computer college owned by a large corporation. My class, consisting of 27 individuals, is considering legal action against our school and the corporation it is owned by. The school uses extremely misleading advertising tactics, provides false information to its students, and fails in many aspects to complete its course description, enrollment agreement, and mission described in various publicatoins, handbooks, enrollment materials, and enrollment contracts. This school provides false and misleading information in attempts to recruit students. Due to the unwillingness of the administration of our school to resolve these matters, we are left with no other option but to seek legal council. Our claims are backed by several other students, graduates, and staff members. How should myself, and my class go about seeking reimbursement of our tuition, as well as emotional compensation for what can be summed up as months of lies and empty promises? Is there such thing as suing for "miseducation"?

Re: Is it possible to sue for
You and your fellow students have several causes
of action. The most obvious one is for "unfair
and deceptive practices" [UDAP]. Get yourself and a few of your friends off to a local attorney. He or she will explain it all to you.
Good luck.
