Legal Question in Immigration Law in West Virginia

My friend wants to marry a man from the Dominican Republic and he has a old charge on his record that he wants to expunge. He said it was over 10yrs ago and he did 2months for possesion of weapon. Will he be able to come to US if they marry?

Hello:

Expunging something on his record has no effect in Immigration Law. He would most likely need to do a criminal waiver of inadmissibility to be able to come to the U.S.
