Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in West Virginia

old landlord -new landlord

We have been renting from this guy for 2 years,at 400.00 a month.well 2 weeks ago he sold the house and did not tell us,The new owner never cane and talked to us,never tried to get in contact with us(he has owned the house for 3 weeks.we wanted to pay the rent but did not know who to give it to(we heard through the grapevine the house was sold)on monday the 19th we got a summons for magistrate courtminus the front page that tells you when to show up to court.so on the 20th i called the court and they told me our hearing was that day and it was over with(the date on theat piece of paper is july 5th he had almost 2 weeks to serve it but waited till the evening before to have it delivared.so on wensday the 21st we get a judgement in his favor for 650.00 and IMMEDIATE POSSION of the house.the law master did not give us no time to get out.can we appile this,do we have to get out immediatedly,what can we do.we don't even know this guy that bought the house.please give some advice.we live in west virginia.

You need to get the case reopened. Hire a local real estate atty IMMEDIATELY > Tues AM. Put this on the front burner.

Otherwise, you are OUT.
