Legal Question in Personal Injury in West Virginia
My dog bite someone while visting my home.
My Chihuahua bite my brothers girlfriend on the back of the leg while they were visiing me(this occured inside my house) Can I be sued? I warned them that the dog would bite and did not like sudden movement. It left a bruise and a bite mark on her leg but not to the point she needed medical attention and it did not tear her jeans.

Dog Bite Liability
While I am not licensed in your state, I feel I can safely say that you could be sued... In our legal system you can be sued by anyone for anything. The real question is whether you face any civil liability -- in other words whether they have any reasonable prospect of WINNING if they sue you.On that one the real question is what would she win if she sued -- $20 for "pain & suffering"? There were no medical bills, no person property damaged (i.e. pants not torn), and presumably no lost work. So what is she going to win if she does win.Don't worry about this one and if she does actually file suit, contact your homeowners insurance to see if it covers the situation or contact your own attorney.... claims by people in cases like this give the legal profession a bad name.
