Legal Question in Personal Injury in West Virginia

unathorized porn display

Dear Sirs,

I have reason to believe that someone has made a computer web site and/or video of myself as a stripper or porn star.

There is absolutely no truth to this matter.

The person that told me this is also the person that I suspect is the culprit (and/or his family). He tried to put the blame on someone else.

I have no other proof other than I am stared at by alot of

men and teenage boys. (this has been going on for about a year now) I have even been stared at while in my car and I have even traded cars, and am still stared at.

Yes, there has been some problems between myself and the ''culprit''. I feel that this is their revenge.

Is there any way to proof this crime has been comitted and bring the guilty parties to justice.

I feel that the culprit has spread the ''porn'' story to the city board members and to the police department in the town where I work, there for I feel that I will not get any help from any of them.

I do feel that there are some people that know about this ''porn story''(most of them probably think its true) but I do not feel they will tell the truth if asked, they will probably pretend that they know nothing.

What can I do to correct this situation?

Thank You,

Slander is a false statement which tends to defame a person's reputation. Libel is defamation by a published word. Activity such as this is actionable as a tort and could be the subject of a court order to cease and desist as well as an award of damages. It is necessary, as in all tort cases to prove the case. Anyone who is the target or victim of slander or libel should contact a lawyer to discuss the known facts. It may require a private investigator to determine all that has been done by the actors. Of course, nothing I say here can be construed as legal advice. Only a thorough review of a particular situation could allow any specific recommendation.
