cheated out of inheritance

an aunt of passed away about a month ago. another aunt was named execute the will. She came by the house and wanted me and my brother to sign some papers; saying that they had to be signed or we would not be elligible to be included in the will, (we both signed the papers) another brother was mention on the papers, but he has not heard anything about this matter.

we don't remember what law firm the papers were from.

What do we do now?

It could be that you were the primary selection, by law, to administer the estate. The paper was a waiver to allow tha aunt qualify. If so, she would have to present the waiver to the Probate Clerk in the courthouse. The clerk has a file which is open for you to inspect. If you suspect dishonesty, you should consult a lawyer immediately. Your lawyer could take action to have her placed under bond or increase the bond if the first bond is too small. If any dishonesty occurs prior to the bond being posted, the bonding company will not pay the beneficiaries for that loss. If there is dishonesty, she could be removed as Executrix.
